QoSient
Capacity Measurement Technology
delivers interval byte and packet load and loss/retransmission information
for virtually every transaction on the network.
QoSient technology provides the information needed to measure
industry recognized capacity measurements such as load, demand,
and "Empirical Bulk Transfer Capacity". QoSient
technology can provide total network load and application load for
all network traffic, as well as acknowledged load, retransmission
rate and realized loss metrics for most IP based transactions.
With the flexibility to measure each of these metrics at any time
interval, this type of metering can support simple network demand
accounting as well as network protocol research.
And because QoSient technology provides these metrics for
any IP network transaction, you can measure realized capacity characteristics
for your users traffic. This is particularly important with existing
QoS policy enforcement devices that can rate limit arbitrary IP
traffic.
