Assessing Responsiveness
of Internet services involves an analysis of the response time and
duration of application and network
service transactions.
QoSient
technology provides the response time and transaction duration times
for every network transaction. This level of granularity allows
you to determine the responsiveness of specific services, such as
DNS, as well as sub-component responsiveness, such as the ARP service
or RPC service lookup that is a part of many complex application
requests. This allows you to understand what sub-components may
be at fault when poor responsiveness is a problem.
And because QoSient
technology performs it assessments on real user traffic, instead
of test traffic, the inherent variability of user activity is a
part of the assessment, making the conclusions more realistic and
useful.
